FAQ
The questions people actually ask
Is this a government website?
No. CPPP and GeM are the government portals; this reads them. Every Tender links back to its own page on the portal that published it, and every bid is still submitted there.
Which portals do you read, and how current is it?
CPPP and GeM, swept about every six hours, newest first. State-run procurement portals are not covered yet — if a Tender never reached one of those two, it will not be in your Feed.
How does matching work?
You save Interests — free-text phrases like “CCTV installation” — and your Feed is every open Tender matching any one of them. Word order does not matter, and your city, company name and business type have no effect on the match.
Why am I seeing nothing?
Usually an Interest narrower than the way a government buyer writes. “CCTV” matches far more than “CCTV installation and maintenance”. You can also browse every open Tender with no Interests at all.
What does the coloured dot on a value mean?
Provenance. Green for a value the portal published, violet for one a machine read out of the tender document, grey for something we derived. The Tender itself spells all of it out in words.
What is the difference between Not Disclosed and ₹0?
Not Disclosed means the source never gave the value. An EMD of ₹0 means the deposit is exempt. They are different facts, and they never render alike.
What happens when a buyer changes a deadline?
The Tender’s Fingerprint — a hash over the Closing Date, value, EMD, Lifecycle Status and document list — stops matching, so it is treated as a Corrigendum and re-read. If you have already been shown it, your next Digest says it changed.
Will you email me by default?
No. The Digest is off until you turn it on, and it only sends once you have confirmed your address. Unsubscribing stops the mail and touches nothing else — your account, Interests and Feed carry on.
What do you store about me?
Your email, your name, a hashed password, your Interests, and anything optional you chose to fill in. One cookie, and it is the one that keeps you signed in. The privacy page has the full list.
Can I leave?
Delete your account and the profile, the Interests and every session go with it, completely. It is not a deactivation.
